With Dan Snow And Saunders Carmichael-Brown

In the greatest underwater discovery since the Titanic, the wreck of polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship has been found and Dan Snow and Saunders Carmichael-Brown are fresh off the boat (quite literally) from the incredible expedition to locate it funded by the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust.

Join Dan and Saunders for an exclusive evening in which they will recount the behind-the-scenes story of how the international crew of the Endurance22 expedition made the discovery of a lifetime. You’ll hear first-hand from the media team that brought you the incredible footage, how they made it happen – and the austere Antarctic conditions that they had to face to do so.

Having not been seen since it was crushed by the Antarctic pack ice in 1915, the Endurance has now been located 3008 metres down, roughly 4 miles from where it sank in the Weddell Sea. Hear about the race against the clock and the encroaching winter and following Dan and Saunders’ discussion of the perilous journey, guests will get the chance to ask questions about the original 1914 expedition and their personal experience on the 2022 rediscovery expedition – live. 19th October at 7PM.
